Los Angeles County Sheriff Booking Process:
Persons taken into custody by the La County Sheriff are brought to the Norwalk Sheriff Station. Booking time is about 2-3hrs. Release time is about 1hr. If not bailed out here, they are held until their first court date. After their court date they are taken to one of two facilities. Men are taken to the Twin Towers Facility and women are taken to Lynwood. The Twin Towers booking process takes about 1-3 days. The release time takes about 12hrs. The Lynwood booking process takes about 24hrs. The release time is about 2-6hrs. All booking and release times are approximate and subject to change according to the jail operations staff.
